PASS PLUS is a training scheme for new drivers. It's much more than just a few extra lessons. This specially designed course by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry, helps you:

The course will help boost your awareness of all kinds of hazards and help you learn how to anticipate, plan for and deal with them safely

Save money on car insurance premiums

Naturally, you will have to pay for the course. The cost of the PASS PLUS course is £125 if you take it with the instructor you passed your test with, Bear in mind too that it will take a minimum of six hours, all of which need to be taken after passing your test. If more sessions are needed for you to successfully complete the course, this may add to the cost.

When you have successfully completed the course, you are advised to check available discounts offered by the insurance companies taking part in the scheme. The amount you save will depend on the company you choose, you may even save more than you paid for the course.

PASS PLUS consists of six practical modules which cover driving in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways. You can take it at any time within the first 12 month of passing your test.

There is no test at the end of it – your driving will be continually assessed and you must successfully complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard:

achieved – successfully reached the standard required for each of the competencies

exceeded – exceeded the required standard for each of the competencies

In exceptional circumstances, if a module can't be done on the road it will be covered in a theory session. The highest level you can reach is 'achieved' as you've not been able to demonstrate the relevant practical skills.

Don’t worry if you haven’t got a car at the moment, you may be able to defer the discount for up to two years. Again, check with your insurance company. If you passed your test more than a year ago you should check that you’ll be eligible for the discounts on offer from your insurance company before you take the course.

Quick Pass Driving Course and 1 day rescue courses

Intensive courses are designed as a fast track option if you are in a hurry to pass your driving test. For work or personal reasons many people are now choosing an intensive course of lessons rather than learning to drive with weekly lessons for upto and over a year.

The big wait for test dates in a major contributing factor and if you choose to learn in an intensive method we can find you a test date / time that suits your needs within a few days / weeks, not months, making it the perfect option for people in a hurry to pass.

All our tuition is 1-2-1 only and you will not be sharing the car with any other pupil.

Suitable for those who want a fair independant service different from their current instructors opinion of your driving or those trained by parents only wanting further guidance in their driving career

3 HOUR RESCUE COURSE-£60

Suitable for pupils who may have had an instructor let them down in the past or have been ill on a previous test,or failed by 1 or 2 faults

1 DAY COURSE - 6 HOURS - £120.00

Suitable for a pupil who just requires a few hours practicing before the test.

2 DAYS COURSE - 12 HOURS - £240

This course is aimed at people who are not far off an overall safe standard or have have recently taken their test, or who feel that they can reach the standard required within this 12 hour course.

3 DAY COURSE - 18 HOURS - £360

This course is for learners who have good control of the vehicle but require improvement on Manoeuvres and complicated traffic sytems.

4 DAYS COURSE - 24 HOURS - £480

This course for pupils with a safe basic control of the vehicle, and have attempted some manoeuvres.

5 DAYS COURSE - 30 HOURS - £600

This course is suitable for pupils who have had a little driving experience. Only if they feel 30 hours would be enough, but for complete beginners we would recommend the 7 day course.

6 DAYS COURSE - 36 HOURS - £720

For pupils who can move off and stop the vehicle using the Mirror, Signal, Manouver routine and have okay steering control.

7 DAYS COURSE - 42 HOURS - £840

This course is designed for anybody with very little or no experience behind the wheel.

Tests should be booked by the pupil or our office after consultation with us. DSA test fees are not included in the price guide.
